- Having It All: Body, Mind, Heart & Spirit Together Again at Last by Phil Porter. 1997 Wing It! Press.
This is a clear, easy to read, helpful, accessible book on integrating yourself. Good stuff! If you can't find a copy, see the author's web page.
- That which you are seeking is causing you to seek by Cheri Huber.
1990 A Center for the Practice of Zen Buddhist Meditation; 1991 Zen Meditation Center.
Cheri Huber's books are (at least the editions I have) printed in handwritten script and use a style
that is easily applied or incorporated.
- There is nothing wrong with you: going Beyond Self-Hate by Cheri Huber. Keep It Simple Books, 1993 or as
There Is Nothing Wrong With You : Regardless of What You Were Taught to Believe, Zen Meditation Center, 1997.
Superbly helpful and very insightful book that will help anyone, but especially people who are very self-critical.
- Witness to the Fire: Creativity and the Veil of Addiction
by Linda Schierse Leonard. 1989 Shambhala Publications.
Excellent Jungian archtypal approach about and for creative people and our pathology.
This book may be out of print! If you have difficulty finding it, try contacting the publisher. You can also get
an idea of Leonard's excellent insights in On the Way to the Wedding and
The Wounded Woman which I've seen recently at used and independent book
stores in Northern California.
- Anything by Thich Nhat Hanh. If
you're note sure which one to try check out his recent Going Home :
Jesus and Buddha As Brothers
- Looking for something lighter? I'm also an occassional SciFi fan. Greg Bear
is my favorite SciFi author. Check out his fabulous early work Songs of Earth and Power or the classic Blood Music
(currently out-of-print, but available used from independent booksellers near you!).
